Located approximately 20 kilometres from Adelaide, Elkanah Retirement Village comprises of independent living units. Each unit has a rear private garden area, in which many residents have established pergolas and personal gardens. The site also provides parking areas for those who have caravans and boats.

The Elkanah Community Hall provides a central meeting place for all Elkanah residents. The Hall features an excellent view from its sundeck where residents can catch-up and features many and varied activities, including indoor lawn bowls, craft groups and cards and games evenings.
