Harbourside Haven Nursing Home is a 68 bed high care facility, located at Shoal Bay in Port Stephens. Port Stephens is a tourist destination, popular for dolphin watching, fishing or enjoying leisure time at the many pristine beaches that surround the bay. Port Stephens is located only 45 minutes north east of Newcastle and less than 2.5 hours from Sydney. Harbourside Haven has two low care Hostels. Hostel One has 31 permanent beds and 1 respite bed/room. Hostel Two has 51 permanent beds/ageing in place. We have fully qualified staff that are rostered 24/7. We also provide 24 hour Registered Nurse coverage, assisting with ongoing professional nursing and personal care. Our staff specializes in high care needs, dementia care and Palliative Care.We actively promote the residents rights to individualized care in a relaxed environment. We encourage continuous feedback from staff, residents and relatives, to ensure we continue to improve the service that we deliver.We are well serviced with local medical centers, ambulance service, Community Hospital and an Imaging group. We also have access to dieticians, speech pathologists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dentists, opticians, and other allied health specialists, as required. We also have an on-site hair-dresser that is available for bookings from Monday to Friday.Our nursing home offers single and shared rooms, with built-in wardrobes with reverse cycle air-conditioning, spacious courtyards surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens. We are fortunate to have a specially designed facility, including large and spacious dining and lounge areas.
