LHI's Residential Care Facilities, at both Glynde and Hope Valley offer a home-like atmosphere combined with a flexible degree of independence. As in all areas of LHI, quality of life and excellence in care, for all residents, is our primary focus. These principles were validated in 2012 when LHI Retirement Services won two of five national aged care awards presented by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency in South Australia. The awards recognised LHI's Palliative Care program and LHI's Lifestyle Program for residents with dementia.

LHI staff are on duty 24 hours each day, providing supported living in a caring environment for those who require assistance with daily living activities.

With views towards Black Hills or secluded internal courtyards is LHI's facility in the north east suburb of Hope Valley. Residents live in two separate areas: Hope Valley South and Hope Valley North.

Hope Valley South has recently undergone a major renovation and refurbishment. All residents have single bedrooms with adjoining ensuite bathroom. Residents with dementia specific needs reside in a special supported environment named Coonawarra.

The individual needs of residents are met through the care of our professional staff including nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other invited care professionals.
